Designer Marc Jacobs is adored by many women including some of the worlds most glamorous celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, Sarah Jessica Parker and Latino beauty Jenifer Lopez.

Marc Jacobs was born in 1963 in the US and it was in 1986 he revealed his very own fashion collection. Jacobs made such an impact on the industry it was only a year later that he received his very first and highly prestigious Perry Ellis Award for being fashions newest and best talent.

As Marc’s reputation and rapid success as a designer grew he was given a position at Louis Vuitton in 1997 as a Creative Director which he still retains.

Despite his success at French fashion house Louis Vuitton the Marc Jacobs brand has and is continuing to flourish. What started as offering small collections of women’s clothing has now expanded to offering Marc Jacobs handbags, menswear and children’s clothing.

One of my favorite pieces has got to be his purses. Marc Jacobs purses are glamorous, sophisticated and every girls dream. Take the Rockstar clutch purse he released in his 2010 collection for example. This Marc Jacobs clutch is fabulous to say the least and something you can wear anytime of the year, any time of day and at any occasion.

The purse is predominately made from leather and calf hair and is navy blue in color on the bottom section. The fold over flap is gold and navy but has a timeless dog tooth patten to it. Finishing the fold over flap nicely is a mini gold padlock.

This handbag is a great size too with the satin lined inside measuring 31cm in width and 16 cm in height. Finally what makes this bag so great is the detachable cross body gold and navy blue strap, perfect for transforming a trendy day bag into a glamorous night purse!
